What is Global Epicurean, LLC

Global Epicurean, LLC is the travel consultancy geared to your culinary travel needs. We help you with your bookings and to delineate your itinerary, including giving you great insight on what to eat in each place you visit.

We pride ourselves of a deep knowledge of Italy, particularly those locations “off the beaten path” for the discriminating tourist who’s been to Italy before. We can help you discover the beauty of Langhe and the proverbial hospitality of Romagna, all while enjoying stunning meals throughout your trip.

About Vanessa

Vanessa DellaPasqua is the founder of Global Epicurean. Born and raised in the culinary paradise of Italy, Romagna, she moved to the Bay Area in 2001 to pursue a career in engineering.

Vanessa was born into a culinary family and grew up in the restaurant business, and she realized early on that her core passions were food and travel. She decided to make a business out of these passions and started Global Epicurean in January 2008.

Vanessa brings more than thirty years of experience in travel and hospitality to Global Epicurean. Her entrepreneurial experience includes launching a bespoke travel consultancy, “Le Sorelle”, offering tailored culinary experiences “off the beaten path” in Italy. In addition, she most recently developed and managed a web-based luxury travel site and helped the team at Slow Food Nation with their website and development effort.

Vanessa is an advocate of good food and is passionate about eating well. She publishes a directory of all Italian food in the San Francisco Bay Area called Italy in SF. Her interest is in exploring cooking as an expression of culture. Her culinary heritage is put in action with Global Epicurean.

Vanessa holds a Masters in Engineering from Universita’ di Bologna and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.
